Who can apply for the STEM & Humanities Scholars Program? The STEM & Humanities Scholars program is best fit for high school juniors and seniors.
Is there an application process? Yes. All juniors and seniors will receive an email with a link to the online application if they wish to join the program. All applications are due by the deadline.
When are meetings held? The STEM & Humanities Scholars program meets once monthly. Meetings are held on Tuesdays after school from 2:10pm-3:00pm.
What will the students participate in throughout the program? Students will participate in a variety of experiences and opportunities such as the following:
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a career shadow experience
Students will design and engage in a meaningful civic project
Students will attend the Annual Alumni Fair
Students will participate in workshops designed to help with resume skills, interview skills, professionalism, etc.
Will students need to turn in a project? At the end of the school year, seniors will need to turn in a professional portfolio. The professional portfolio can be completed in a binder or digitally through various websites. The professional portfolio will detail the students work throughout the STEM & Humanities Scholars program. If the student is a junior, they will continue the portfolio through senior year.
